SOLID DRY FILM HYBRID H04

The Finest In Liquid Spray Coatings...

DESCRIPTION:

H04 Hybrid anti-friction coating is a specially formulated dispersion of solid lubricants in a solvent-based resin binder. It is supplied as a thick liquid suitable for conventional air-spray application. Once properly cured, it offers wear resistance with high load carrying capacity, as well as long-term resistance to gasoline, diesel, motor oils, acids and solvents. Operating temperature: -70 to 280 C (-94 to 480 F).

TYPICAL USES:

H04 anti-friction coating is ideal as a long term lubricating film on piston skirts, oil pans, bearings, cams, valve stems, valve springs, intake manifolds, pneumatic or hydraulic systems and any other application that requires reduced friction and corrosion protection during operation. Aerospace, Automotive, Marine and Mining Industries utilize this coating for an array of applications on steel and aluminum substrates. It can be used for mold release, packaging, high wear machinery parts, and other industrial applications. It is perfect for friction reduction, oil shedding, and corrosion protection.

APPLICATION:

Preparation: Parts to be coated should be clean and contaminant free. H04 can be applied directly to ground, cast, or highly machined surfaces. It is possible to apply the coating on metal surfaces that have been media blasted so the surface has a random profile. Certain surface pre-treatments can further enhance the performance of the coating.
Application: H04 is specially formulated and supplied for use in a conventional air-spray gun. A spray booth is advisable. Make sure the working area is adequately ventilated and observe the usual precautions for spray painting. Keep the product well-mixed both in the gun reservoir and circulating to and from the spray nozzle. The surface should be coated as evenly as possible. A cured film thickness of 0.00075 to 0.002 inch (0.019 to 0.051 mm) is recommended. Stir well before and during use. Dipping is also an adequate method if uniformity is not essential.
Curing: Suggested cure times are 30 minutes at 205 C/ 400 F or 60 minutes at 180 C/ 356 F. actual curing time will vary with substrate size, mass, material, coating thickness, type of oven and many other factors.
Additional information: Because solids tend to settle rapidly, it is ideal to keep material agitated continuously. Keep container sealed to prevent hydrolysis and solvent loss.
H04 requires no dilution before use unless solvent has been lost to evaporation. If so, additional solvent may be added to restore original viscosity.
