RUKse Fuel Tabs Real-world Testing
(Contributed by an actual user)
Following is a usage test I did on RUKse Fuel Tabs. I have to admit I was skeptical but in the end the RUKse Fuel Tabs did work for me. I did the tests on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler and 2007 Nissan Versa. I use both cars for mostly commuter duty. I travel about 60-80 miles each day to work with most of it the miles on the freeway. I did not change my driving habits or use any other gas savings techniques for this test.
Nissan Versa 2007 Base Model
Mileage when test started: 73,663
EPA Numbers: 30 MPG Combined 28 MPG as commonly tested
Tank Capacity: 13.2
I did a total of 12 fuel fill-ups, seven with RUKse Fuel Tabs and five with no additive. Normally the vehicle is tested at 28 miles per gallon. With 85 octane fuel I was seeing an average of 29.25 miles per gallon. When the switch was made to winter gas I saw an average of 28.76 miles per gallon. With RUKse Fuel Tabs I saw an average of 31.35 miles per gallon and this test was mostly done with winter gas blend which is not as effective with fuel additives. Below are the totals of the test results with using Fuel Tabs and without using any additive. The cost of a 10 pack of Fuel Tabs was $7.95 and I used one tab per fill up. The dosing instructions required 1 Fuel Tab for every 16 gallons of fuel for best performance.
Mileage and Fuel economy improvements using RUKse Fuel Tabs:
Average Miles Traveled per Tank: 339.52 Winter Gas
Average Miles per Gallon: 31.18
Average MPG over 28MPG 10%
Average Miles over 28MPG 3.19
Total Savings Including Fuel Tabs Cost $13.33
Baseline mileage and fuel economy without using RUKse Fuel Tabs:
Average Miles Traveled per Tank: 312.93 Winter Gas
Average Miles per Gallon: 29.25
Average MPG lost from 31.34MPG -7%
Average Miles over 28MPG 1.25
Total Savings Lost by Not Using Fuel Tabs $13.33
From the test results you can see that I averaged about 27 more miles per fill up (winter gas) that is about 1 more gallons per tank or $2.70 dollars saved per fill up. That is a nice savings. I averaged about 1.93 more miles per gallon using Fuel Tabs. I got 3.19 more miles per gallon over the average tested mpg of 28 and finally I saved a total of $6.33 using Fuel Tabs including what I paid for the use of the Fuel Tabs. That reduces my monthly fuel bill by almost 5%. In addition I am told I getting a cleaning running engine which helps lower emissions, more power, and longer lasting parts. I cannot test that so I am not sure if that works. This was much more than I expected since this was already a high fuel savings car. This would give me an annual savings over $75.00 or more. Since I did this test using winter gas I would expect better test results during the switch back to normal gas.
Overall I believe that this has worked to increase my fuel mileage. I will continue to run more tests and update this report as they become available.
